David E. Young

David E. Young graduated 1973 USCG Academy with Bachelor of Science degree. He attended NYU Graduate School of Business / University of Houston Graduate School of Business

David’s Military Service includes nine years of active duty service in the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and two years in the USCG reserves.

David’s was a Deck Officer on board a Coast Guard Cutter in the USCG. He was a liaison officer and investigator for the Marine Safety Office San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was the Commanding Officer of Ships Training Detachment in USCG - Instructor in Piloting-Navigation/ Rules of the Road / Ship Board Communication. He was Operation Coordinator and Chartering Coordinator for Conoco Tanker Broker for Pacific West Maritime - Los Angeles, California and Greenwich, CT

He has been a tanker broker for Odin Marine for 25 years with duties including Executive Vice President for 10 years and Managing Director since 2004.

David maintains memberships in the CMA, Board of Directors for WorldScale 2004 to present; USCG Alumni Association.
