Marty Kontyko

Marty Kontyko graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY in 1984. Upon graduation, he sailed with Maritime Overseas Corporation on crude tankers in the Alaskan oil trade. After sailing for three years, he came ashore with Amerada Hess Corporation in their chartering department. In 1989, he went to work with Seagroup, Inc. in their tanker chartering group. In 1996, he was transferred to Houston as General Manager of Seachem (USA), a division of Seagroup, Inc. In 2001, with the merger of Seachem and Odfjell, he returned to Connecticut as a broker in the clean department.

Marty joined Odin Marine in 2003 as head of the clean department.
